Women’s & Men’s Footwear Size Guide

The right size is the one that matches your foot length — not the number you wear in another brand. Convert your usual size below, then check your width: every pair is built on a contoured footbed, and the arch support only works when the ball of your foot sits in the widest part of the shoe.

Lengths are given in centimetres and inches, plus Japanese centimetre sizing. Widths are quoted in centimetres across the ball of the foot. All measurements refer to your foot — the allowance for the footbed is already built in, so there is nothing to add.

Women’s Size Conversion

Styles made in whole sizes only run a half size large in the equivalent half size — size down a half size for those.

Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

US Size UK EU JP Foot Length (cm) Foot Length (in)
5 3 36 22 21.9 8 5/8
6 4 37 23 22.8 9
6.5 4.5 37.5 23.5 23.1 9 1/8
7 5 38 24 23.6 9 1/4
7.5 5.5 38.5 24.5 24.1 9 1/2
8 6 39 25 24.5 9 5/8
8.5 6.5 40 25.5 24.9 9 3/4
9 7 41 26 25.3 10
9.5 7.5 41.5 26.5 25.6 10 1/8
10 8 42 27 26.2 10 1/4
10.5 8.5 42.5 27.5 26.7 10 1/2
11 9 43 28 27 10 5/8
12 10 44 29 27.9 11
  • Fit tip. There is no women’s 5.5 or 11.5, so if you normally wear one, choose the half size closest to your measured foot length. Half sizes stop at 10.5; above that, sizes run 11 and 12 only.
  • Between two sizes? Take the larger one. Open-toe sandals and slingbacks can be worn closer to your true length; closed boots, loafers and padded sneakers feel best with a little room in front.
  • Width. Most women’s styles come in Medium (B) and Wide (D); Narrow (2A) appears on selected styles only. See the Width & Fit tab for centimetre measurements.

Men’s Size Conversion

Men’s sizes run from US 7 to US 14 with half sizes through 11.5.

US Size UK EU JP Foot Length (cm) Foot Length (in)
7 6 40 25 24.5 9 5/8
7.5 6.5 40.5 25.5 24.9 9 3/4

9.5 8.5 42.5 27.5 26.5 10 1/2
10 9 43 28 27 10 5/8
10.5 9.5 43.5 28.5 27.3 10 3/4
11 10 44 29 27.9 11
11.5 10.5 44.5 29.5 28.3 11 1/8
12 11 45 30 28.4 11 1/2
13 12 46 31 29.4 11 1/2
14 13 47 32 30.2 11 5/8
  • Fit tip. Above US 12 the half sizes stop — the run goes 12, 13, 14. If your measured foot length lands between two of those, take the larger size.
  • Whole sizes only? For any style offered in whole sizes alone, size down a half size so the footbed stays under your arch instead of ahead of it.
  • Width. Men’s styles are most commonly available in Medium (D) and Wide (E, or 2E on selected styles). See the Width & Fit tab.

Width & Fit

Measure across the widest part of the ball of your foot, at the end of the day. Compare that number with the width column that matches your size — then check which widths the style you want is actually made in.

Women Narrow (2A) · Medium (B) · Wide (D)
Men Narrow (B) · Medium (D) · Wide (E / 2E) · Extra Wide (4E on selected styles)

Medium and Wide are the two widths most broadly available. Narrow and Extra Wide appear on selected styles only, so always check the size selector on the product page.

13 29.5 11.1 11.6
14 30.4 11.4 11.9
  • Fit tip. If your shoes bulge outward at the sides, or the upper presses on the little toe, you need the next width up — not the next length up. Adding length will not fix a width problem.
  • One foot bigger? Almost everyone has one. Size to the longer, wider foot and let the other one sit in a little extra room.
  • Measuring note. Width measurements are taken across the ball of the foot, the widest point. Measure with your weight on the foot you are measuring.

Insole & Orthotic Sizing

Full-length insoles are made in six sizes that cover both women’s and men’s footwear, so the same insole size works across the family. Pick the range that contains your shoe size, then trim at the marked forefoot line if you want an exact fit.

Swipe the table sideways to see every column.

Insole Size Women’s US Men’s US
XX-Small (XXS) 5 – 6 –
X-Small (XS) 6.5 – 7.5 –
Small (S) 8 – 9 7 – 7.5
Medium (M) 9.5 – 10.5 8 – 9
Large (L) 11 – 12 9.5 – 10.5
X-Large (XL) 12.5 – 13 11 – 12
XX-Large (XXL) – 12.5 – 14
  • Fit tip. Sitting between two insole sizes? Buy the larger one — it is easier to trim material away than to add it back. Trim a little at a time and test the fit before cutting further.
  • A dash means no size. The smaller ranges are not made in men’s sizes and the largest is not made in women’s. Men below US 7 and women above US 13 fall outside the range.
  • Replacing insoles. For best results, refresh insoles every six to eight months. If the shoes came with removable factory insoles, take those out first so the new insole sits flat in the shoe.

How to Measure at Home

  1. Trace your foot Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel lightly against a wall and your weight on the foot you are measuring. Trace the outline, holding the pen upright.
  2. Measure the length Measure from the heel edge to the tip of your longest toe, in centimetres. Longest toe, not biggest toe — they are not always the same one.
  3. Measure the width Measure straight across the widest part of the ball of your foot. This is the number that decides your width letter, not your length.
  4. Measure both feet Do both feet and use the larger of the two. Feet swell during the day, so measure in the late afternoon and wear the socks you plan to wear with the shoes.

Fit Notes

  • Foot length travels between brands; the US number does not. When in doubt, start from the centimetre column.
  • These charts cover adult women’s US 5–12 and men’s US 7–14.
  • Every measurement is your foot, not the inside of the shoe. Nothing needs to be added.
  • Most styles ship with a removable footbed, so an insole can fine-tune the fit without changing your size.
  • Soft leather and suede relax slightly with wear. Structured leather and synthetic uppers keep their shape, so take those closer to true size.
  • Socks change the fit. Measure the way you will actually wear the shoes.
  • Not every size or width is made in every style. The size selector on the product page is the final word.

This guide is provided for reference only. Sizes, widths and measurements can vary slightly between styles and production runs, and conversions are approximate. Please check the size selector on the product page for the exact sizes and widths available in that style.
